A Very Fruity Piano

This piano will put a whole new spin on "playing with your food"! Watch the video to get started.

This project shows you how to make a Very Fruity Piano, using different fruits and veggies for different keyboard keys. Have a go at creating your own musical fruit with the help of the MaKey MaKey.

How does it work?

All you need to do is connect the MaKey MaKey to a computer, some fruit keys, and yourself. By touching the fruits, you close the circuit, and a signal is sent to the MaKey MaKey. The circuit board then translates this electronic signal into a keyboard signal (a letter), which is sent to your computer. Here's some inspiration.
